Activities
All of the scheduled activities below are optional. The real joy is being together in the same physical space. Walks on the beach, hikes through the National Park, conversations everywhere, good food. Everyone should participate in whatever they want to do. Here’s a list of the scheduled activities for anyone who wants to join in.
Friday
August 28Please begin gathering from mid-to late afternoon. We'll have munchies and cold beverages. And name tags! Just in case.
Stretching on the Lawn
Get out your travel kinks and start to settle into your body and this space.
Buddy Bingo!
Is it cheesy? Perhaps. But it will be fun too. A fun get-to-know-you game to kick us off.

Buffet Dinner
Vegetarian options available.
Evening Music Meditation
Close your night with a soothing musical meditation practice.
Outside fireplace chats/s'mores/evening beverages into the night.
Saturday
August 29Sunrise Sit
Join our regular morning online group at 6:30 am from wherever you are.
Buffet Breakfast
We welcome all baked goods or those who whip up a good pancake. Plentiful coffee and hot teas will accompany. Fresh OJ too if anybody volunteers to squeeze.
Yoga on the Lawn
Leisurely stretches and poses on the lawn. Be at peace while you set your sights on Lake Michigan.
Morning Sit on the Lawn
Join us for a meditation session followed by a reflection on our practice.

Community Sing Rehearsal
Calling all who enjoy singing! This is an open rehearsal for all those interested in leading us in our Sunday morning worship.
This year’s chorus is led by Kathy Neely.
Buffet Lunch
Choose Your Own Adventure
No worries if you want to just take a nap. However, if you want some other suggestions then how about:
- Hiking one of the Dune Acres National Park trails with Mark Rodel.
- Chilling by the swimming pool or kayaking Lake Michigan. The Leadership Team will get you all set up to paddle.
- Intentionally starting a conversation with someone you don’t know very well.
Book Club
Where would this group be without a great book convo? A fabulous conversation on...wait for it, the classic Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning. Relax it is only 180 pages, richly discussable and for those who have never read it before, you will thank us later.

Words and Music from the Heart
Our annual coffee house event. Bring your magic, your poetry, songs, and readings. This night is a crowd favorite. It is tender, inspiring and just so much fun.

Community Worship
We conclude our time together with a time of worship and praise. We will share music, stories, holy scripture, and the Eucharist in a service led by all of us.

We will send one another off with packed lunches and warm memories.
